คำว่า “อันดามณี” เป็นการนำคำ 2 คำมาผสมกัน คือ อันดามัน (ทะเลอันดามัน) และ อัญมณี (เครื่องประดับที่มีค่า) ให้เกิดเป็นคำใหม่ความหมายใหม่ คือ เครื่องประดับที่มีค่าของท้องทะเลอันดามัน ซึ่งก็หมายความถึง “เรือหัวโทง” อันมีถิ่นฐานกำเนิดมาจากจังหวัดกระบี่ และนั่นยังเป็นที่มาของสัญลักษณ์ของโรงแรมอันดามณี บูทีค รีสอร์ท ด้วย

อันดามณี บูทีค รีสอร์ท เป็นรีสอร์ทขนาด 50 ห้อง (ซึ่งเป็นรีสอร์ทน้องใหม่ของ “เทพรัตน์ ลอด์จ” ซึ่งเป็นโรงแรมอยู่ใจกลางเมืองกระบี่) เพิ่งเปิด ให้บริการเมื่อเดือนธันวาคม 2549 รีสอร์ทตั้งอยู่ห่างจากหาดนพรัตน์ธารา 800 เมตร เหมาะสำหรับนักท่องเที่ยวที่มองหาสถานที่ที่มีความเงียบสงบ และความเป็นส่วนตัว ซึ่งให้ความรู้สึกว่า พักผ่อนอยู่ท่ามกลางธรรมชาติ (วนอุทยานแห่งชาติหาดนพรัตน์ธารา) 

ห้องพักแต่ละห้องเจ้าของต้องการที่จะสื่อถึงชีวิตของชาวประมงท้องถิ่นทางภาคใต้ โดยการนำเครื่องมือ, เครื่องใช้ที่ใช้ในการทำมาหากินมาตกแต่งในห้อง เช่น สุ่มจับปลา, ไม้พาย, หรือแม้กระทั่งหัวเตียงที่ทำเป็นรูปเรือหัวโทงและเตียงที่เป็นเรือหัวโทงจริง ๆ นอกจากนี้ยังได้มีการหยิบเอากรงนกหัวจุกซึ่งเป็นงานอดิเรกของชาวประมงมาทำเป็นโคมไฟได้อย่างสวยงาม ห้องพักแต่ละห้องยังกว้างขวาง น่าอยู่, สะดวกสบายและพร้อมด้วยสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกมากมาย เช่น เตียงนั่งเล่น แอร์ ทีวีแซทเทิลไลท์ ตู้นิรภัย มินิบาร์ กาต้มน้ำสำหรับชงชาหรือกาแฟ และ ดรายเป่าผม แต่ไฮไลท์ที่เด่นสุดจะอยู่ที่ห้องน้ำ ซึ่งเป็นห้องน้ำที่แยกระหว่างอ่างอาบน้ำ และห้องอาบน้ำที่มีฝักบัวเลียนแบบธรรมชาติ โดยทำเป็นรางน้ำตกซึ่งให้ความรู้สึกเหมือนอาบน้ำจากน้ำตกจริง ๆ
